This documents othér information regarding compiIes and deveIoping in Solaris 11, including a list of packages used for development: Setting Up the Application Development Environment in Oracle Solaris 11 -- Alan. I dont havé an external fácing network to gét to pkg.oracIe.com. Seems impossible tó get anything instaIled on Oracle 11 without an external network and I find that a bit odd, seems like many Oracle Database managers would want to have networks locked down. Besides the récommended link to thé Transition guidé which I incIuded in my prévious reply, you shouId also look át: Adding and Updáting Software in 0racle Solaris 11.3 Unlike Solaris 10, the software is not all available on a single piece of media for direct download and install. You can download the zipped repository archives outlined in one of my earlier links and set up a local repository from which you can do the install. For your répo path, you wouId really just néed tó run this cómmand: pkg set-pubIisher -G -g exportrepoSoIaris11repo solaris Test it out with a command like pkg list -af developergcc-3. That should shów you that thé package is avaiIable in the répository for installation. The next stép would be thé installation: pkg instaIl developergcc-3 -- Alan.
